A popular news aggregator app was shut down by authorities
Posted On June 11, 2019
Wallstreetcn.com, one of the most popular Chinese news aggregator application, was forced out of service by the Cyberspace Administration of China. Without any specific disclosed cause given for the suspension, discussions appeared on the platform focusing on the trade war which is suspicious for good reasons. Wallstreetcn was under the censor since it had disputes with Bloomberg, Caixin Global, and Dow Jones over copyright violations.
