Since the Chinese New Year China has been bombarded with propaganda themed “learning from President Xi”. The app Xué Xí Qiáng Guó, also known as English Study Xi, Strengthen China, first went public on the January 1st of 2019. The content contributors and management behind this is the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, and the official platform the app is linked to is a website called “Study Xi” (xuexi.cn). However, Alibaba is reportedly the developer of the app, with the hint that users are allowed to log in with their Ding Talk account.
