Alibaba’s socialized marketplace aims to help everyone start self-employment business

Apart from content-driven traffic, Taobao is testing the social-driven business pattern as well. The new platform, named “Taoxiaopu”, featuring real-time feedback and customization for small businesses, is believed to facilitate start-up stores to grow faster. The idea was inspired by the concept S2B2C (supply to business to customer model) which was first proposed by Alibaba’s chief strategy officer Zeng Ming in 2017, as a way to leverage users’ social connections and fulfill an e-commerce chain loop, in an attempt to gain a higher market share from its rivals.
