Huawei’s counterpart, Apple, may soon expose its vulnerability in the face of the trade war, since most of its products are assembled in mainland China. If punitive actions were to be taken by China’s authorities to increase the existing tax rate, then the imported duties will push the prices of Apple’s products even further when sold in China. Considering that Apple counts on Greater China for about one-fifth of its sales, the potential damage can be potentially huge.
