Baidu and Bytedance are filing lawsuit against each other for technology theft

Accusing competitors of “blatant theft” behaviors, Baidu and Bytedance both filed lawsuits against each other. According to Baidu, the search queries requested in Bytedance’s content aggregator Jinri Toutiao (Today’s Headline) returns to feeds which contain Baidu’s top 1 search result. Similarly, Bytedance sues Baidu for stealing video content from its popular platform Douyin, with the watermark erased deliberately to minimize the original identity.
