Fang Wei, the former vice-president of Baidu, was accused by Baidu’s Professional Ethics Committee of suspected corruption on Wednesday following an internal investigation, and the case was later handed over to the police. Such anti-graft campaigns are happening in various tech companies including e-commerce giants Alibaba and JD, social media and gaming leader Tencent and smartphone maker Xiaomi. Corporations in China are answering the central authorities’ call, making great efforts to eradicate corruption in their executive and management teams.
