Beijing applies telecom data to contain the resurgence of COVID-19

Tens of new infected cases have been reported from Xinfadi market in Beijing, and thousands of residents have been required to take a nucleic acid screening testing, including those who just simply walked or drove by the market without stopping. According to the local media, the data of residents’ movements was collected from three major mobile carriers which record personal locations by capturing their phone call and internet use, and that is ‘not very accurate’ a way to obtain people’s history.
