Beijing Internet Court dismissed Douyin’s copyright lawsuit against Baidu

Douyin filed the RMB 1 million lawsuit against Baidu on Sept. 11 in Beijing’s newly established internet court, which was recently dismissed. This is the first time that short video’s copyright being recognized under Chinese laws and the first case to accept blockchain evidence. Though the petition was not enforced by the court, it raised copyright awarenesses within the industry and demonstrated the authority of the Internet Court.
