ByteDance’s latest service hits 1 million downloads after its two days release

Duoshan, the most recent short video networking app launched by ByteDance in an attempt to rival social giant WeChat, has harvested one million downloads in two days since its official debut. Despite being benefit from the huge traffics introduced by the sister app Douyin, there are other marketing tactics worth mentioning with regard to its aggressive promotion campaigns. One is the lucky money lottery mechanism, with which users are allowed to win raffle chances by chatting with in-app friends. The other one is paid ads in various Android app store, ranging from Huawei, Oppo to Xiaomi, in a way which to increase online presence and brand awareness.
