China eases clampdown on new games approvals

Fretting about harm resulting from video game use that might be posed to children and society, Chinese authorities imposed stringent regulations on new games approvals earlier this year, hoping to curb the rampantly growing addictive and violent online gaming industry. But the lastest announcement will revitalize it – the Chinese government has resumed video game approvals following a nine-month moratorium on the publication of new titles. The market is responding positive feedback towards the restrict removal by boosting the share price of Tencent, whose main business relies on video games, sored by as much as 4.51% in Hong Kong at the end of the day’s trading.
