China enhances data security by renovating relevant laws

The laws that regulate China’s data sector have long been criticized by the public and experts for lacking in specific details, which, however, are now being revamped. Since China is weighing in on the digital economy development plans and the administration are tapping into the trend, data security has emerged as an issue. The draft law will further identify the new management responsibilities and how data entities should handle any relevant private information.
