A report from the China Patent Protection Association shows that the top 3 countries filing for artificial intelligence patents are China, America and Japan, however, China is still lagging behind the other two when it comes to measures of quality and value. Most of China’s patents resulted from the collaboration between local companies and universities undertaking research and development projects.
