Spurred by the government’s year 2035 goal and powered by Chinese tech trio (Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu), more than 1 million cars in China to date are equipped with a voice-assisted operation system. Baidu is seemingly taking the lead by partnering a number of automakers, including Ford, Mercedes, BMW, and China’s Great Wall Motors. The implementation of the system will enable drivers to enjoy apps wirelessly when driving simply by voice control or screen touch.
