China’s IaaS industry is rising up and taking over the leader around the globe

China’s cloud computing industry, also known as infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), is growing at a super speed and is the second-largest market. Dominated by the e-commerce firm Alibaba and followed by social giant Tencent, state-owned China Telecom, ‎and software company Kingsoft Cloud which are all ranked among top 10 global service providers, China is catching up with the US and posing a threat to its technology leadership. The entrance to lucrative China’s market hasn’t been going well for industrial pioneers, say Amazon and Microsoft, as the local regulations and restrictions acts as a pullback to their expansion efforts.
