Having experienced operational losses for six years, Chinese biggest ride-hailing platform Didi Chuxing is transitioning its business focus from private carpooling to the public transport sector over the next three years by providing shuttle bus services, according to a Chinese media report. However, since the bus service in China has a high level of government involvement, it remains in doubt as to how much of a market is left for Didi and whether the newly targeted industry will thrive.
