China’s largest ride-hailing company Didi is hiring van drivers to provide freight and delivery services, tapping into the logistic section. The recruitment targeting those who own vehicles, from mini pickups to moving vans, only took places in the eastern cities of Hangzhou and Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan. Didi’s recent marches, whether in bike rentals, public bus services or now cargo deliveries, all suggest its continuous exploration for new business models able to support the company’s expansion.
