Following the racist accusation against Dolce & Gabbana’s advertising campaign on the Chinese social media, the backlash continues to grow and has resulted in calls for a nationwide boycott. Their products were found utterly removed from the main Chinese e-commerce platforms today, leaving the D&G official website the only available online portal to place orders. The brand’s CEOs jointly published an apologetic video today on Weibo, which was again criticized “not sincere enough” by Chinese netizens.
