Douyin (TikTok)’s high-profile performance signals its increasing popularity

Reported by the mobile app intelligence firm Sensor Tower, the in-app spend on the Chinese short video platform Douyin as well as its global version TikTok reached a total of $9 million worldwide, excluding the revenue coming from China’s Android users. Sales made through the Chinese iOS system ranks top with the contribution of $5.9 million, which is followed by the US, $2 million, accounting for 22% of May’s revenue.
