Douyin’s Tmall store available for credits purchasing
Another update for Douyin (TikTok) – it launched a flagship store on Tmall, from which users can purchase credits for their accounts. In-app top-up is a kind of money making approach adopted by the short-video app. However, credits are functionally restricted for use only on live streaming service, which is a derived platform carrying less weight compared to the main business, video clips. The move also signals its intensifying cooperation with Tmall’s parent company, Alibaba, which provides a feasible option for future monetization.
