Ele.me targets 30-minute deliveries over Spring Festival

A growing number of delivery men are willing to stay in big cities where they work over the Chinese New Year, and this gives fresh impetus to Alibaba rolling out 30-minutes deliveries during the time on its Waimai (food delivery) platform Ele.me. By taking stakes from RT-Mart’s parent Sun Art Retail Group and partnering with Carrefour China, Alibaba now boasts a comprehensive offline retail chain that can cater to a variety of cities and meet needs from customers.
