Food delivery app in London for Chinese oversea students – but is it too Chinese?

Today we are sharing an article by TechNode, which told a story of a Hungry Panda. It’s not the name of a lovely pet living in China but a food delivery platform based in the UK. It was founded in 2016 and it tapped into a niche, catering for Chinese students who are studying in London. However the interface is more like a clone of the popular Chinese equivalent Eleme and, to make things worse, everything is in Chinese which is not user friendly to those who don’t understand mandarin. Since less Chinese students are staying in foreign countries during the pandemic lockdown for their online courses, maybe it’s time for Hungry Panda to localize its service to meet the greater market demand.
