Two VPN review websites, VPNMentor and Top10VPN, reported that they have both received notifications from Google suggesting suspending advertising in mainland China. Since the Chinese government is strongly discouraging people from using software which enables them to by pass the Great Firewall and view censored content, conformity the world leading search giant is being interpreted as another sign of the desire to return to the Chinese market. Nevertheless, Google officially stated that it reserves policies to prevent ads on its network for private servers in areas where they are illegal.
