High Temperatures At 71 National Meteorological Stations Broke The Highest Records In History
On July 13, the Meteorological Administration of China discovered that since June 13, China has been experiencing the first regional high-temperature spell of the year, which has been described as “widespread, prolonged and extreme”, and having a great impact. As of July 12, the high temperature spell has lasted for 30 days, covering an area of 5.021 million square kilometers and affecting more than 900 million people. The maximum temperatures of 71 National Meteorological Stations in China have broken the highest numbers in history, with daily maximum temperatures of 44.2 ℃ in Lingshou in Hebei Province , 44.1 ℃ in Gaocheng, 44.0 ℃ in Zhengding, and Yanjin in Yunnan Province had temperatures above 44 ℃.
