Huawei teams up with China Mobile to enable 5G service on Everest

5G coverage is now on the summit of Mount Everest, thanks to the tech giant Huawei collaborating with the largest Chinese networking carrier China Mobile. There are three base stations established along the climbing route of Mount Everest’s north face, the side of the mountain facing China, and the highest instalment is at an altitude of 6,500 meters. China is expecting to have 5G networking services covering all prefecture-level cities by the end of 2020.
