Huya secures its position by doubling revenue and profit in Q1

Huya, honored as the most popular livestreaming video platform in China, recently reported its quarterly profit and revenue, and both have doubled. Most of the increase is driven by a substantial year-on-year increase in paid users and their average spending. Huya is likely to depend less weight on poaching star livestreamers in the long term, adding that the strategy is primarily serving for revenue contribution, but “shouldn’t be what drives the growth”.
