JD.com’s 24 hours intra-city delivery service aims to enhance the customer experience

It has been tough days for JD.com since its CEO’s sex abuse scandal ignited social media, which has overshadowed every effort and progress made by the company. Recently, an intra-city delivery service was launched by JD.com, in partnership with its joint venture 3rd party courier Dada, operating in several tier-one cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Tianjin. Though logistics is still a loss-making business component of JD, it is believed to enhance shopping experience from the customer end which will somehow promote user retention.
