JD to team up with Kuaishou to work on live e-commerce

As the mid-year shopping festival 618 on June 18th is approaching, e-commerce giants are working closely with short video and live streaming platforms expecting a sales augmentation through encouraging more impulse buying. JD and short video app Kuaishou announced their partnership today which will soon allow Kuaishou users to buy JD’s self-run products without leaving the app and to also enjoy the logistic and after-sales services provided by JD. Kuaishou will earn its profit by a shared commission from JD while the latter is believed to gain a huge traffic increase throughout the cooperation.
