Microsoft resumes talking with TikTok over the acquisition

Donald Trump’s impending restriction on TikTok doesn’t seem to weaken Microsoft’s resolution to buyout the app’s US operation – it has resumed the negotiations with the company despite the possible ban. Following the removal from the Indian market, TikTok’s global standing is becoming precarious as more countries are joining the army boycotting it. The parent company behind the app, Bytedance, has officially denied the allegation of handing sensitive user data to the Chinese government and strengthened its data transparency policies in the US.
