The new headquarter of MI in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province, started with the construction on the 25th. The new site is built to accommodate 2,500 employees which will take 2 to 3 years to complete. Lei Jun, who himself is a Hubei local, targets the Wuhan headquarters a new hub of AI, cloud computing and big data management.
