Fan Bingbing, a household actress in China, had disappeared for almost 3 months before she came back recently with a sincere apology on Weibo for her tax evasion from the forthcoming film, Air Strike. Her secret “yin-yang contract”, which made inaccurately declaring taxable income possible by signing two sets of contracts, one for claiming the actual payment and the other one for the tax audit, was disclosed by a famous TV host. This Wednesday, the case finally opened to the public with the statement ordering Fan Bingbing and her companies to pay 883m yuan for unpaid taxes and fines, while she has not been charged with any crime.
