Pinduoduo’s C2M plan approaches to sell cheaply and legally

Following the NetEase and Taobao’s commencement of C2M (client-to-manufactures) programs, Pinduoduo, a NASDAQ-listing group-buying and budget shopping platform, has also embraced the model, by which to provide customers with inexpensive but as high-quality products, which are all made in Chinese OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), sometimes even those ones in collaboration with global brands. The idea, meeting up with Pinduoduo’s brand positioning, featuring self-brand development and traffic allocation for manufacturers, was deemed as a solution in an aftermath of the fake products selling scandal which happened in September earlier this year.
