Regulators in China target education and gaming apps in prevention of inappropriate actions

According to the brief from TechNode, China’s government is strengthening the clampdown on vulgar content from distributors, aiming to quash the misuse of information technologies enabling gaming addictions, online pornography, and privacy infringement. In a recent purge since last December, over 33,600 apps were removed from the market, 2.3 million websites were shut down and an excess of 24.7 million pieces of information deemed lowbrow were deleted from social media platforms.
