Several apps in China have suspended their social features

Amid intensifying tension following the authorities purging of low-brow content circulation on the internet, dozens of applications, as well as websites, have been pulled from the app stores and thousands of posts deleted. The latest two to fall in case of points were Alibaba’s productivity tool, DingTalk, and a social networking app featuring strangers’ dating, Momo. DingTalk has shut down its community forum for a month, and Momo has disabled its social news feed function owing to the difficulty in handling surveillance of posts.
