Takeaway’s resurgence contributed to Meituan’s rising revenue in Q3

Meituan on Monday reported a better-than-estimated quarterly revenue as of September, which amounted to RMB 35.4 billion with a profit of RMB 6.3 billion. The rise was primarily driven by its core food delivery business, which rocketed 32.8% year on year to RMB 20.7 billion, while other sections are slowly recovering in the aftermath of the pandemic. Travel and hotels were the most hit units resulting from the lockdown policies against COVID-19.
