Your Weibo feeds will be well framed in the National Library of China. The archiving agreement made between the National Library of China and Sina will fuel online data research and analysis, whose results can be used in academia as well as policy-making fields. The archive covers 200 million posts from the microblogging platform Weibo, as well as 210 million articles from news site Sina. Content-driven platforms are wielding great influence on important social issues, exemplifying the force exerted from Facebook feeds on the American presidential election, which could well explain why the government is embarking on online cultural studies.
