ZTE and Huawei are pioneering the implementation of 5G infrastructure

Following yesterday’s talk regarding 5G initiatives by the Chinese authorities, we are taking a look at how the major two telecommunications equipment providers, Huawei and ZTE are performing. Despite the attacks on Chinese business instigated by the Trump administration, Huawei reportedly secured 50 5G contracts worldwide, while its domestic rival ZTE signed half of this amount. The latter is also planning to launch its third-generation 5G chip later this year which could significantly reduce carrier costs.
